ATP Innovations would like to invite interested researchers to join us for our Workshop: Intellectual Property for Researchers powered by our industry engagement program the Multiplier Program.

In this workshop participants will receive an introduction to intellectual property, including different types of protection such as patents, trademarks and design registration. The goal of this workshop is to arm researchers with the ability to talk about their research to industry and peers without giving away their proprietary knowledge.

The importance of this skill is increasing with recognition of what can be achieved through industry engagement, collaboration and commercialisation, which includes academic freedom, peer acknowledgement and recognition while maximising local and global impact.

This workshop is available to Masters, PhD and Postdoctoral researchers.

Please note, seating is limited and priority will be given to researchers from ATP Innovations’ shareholders ANU, UNSW, UTS and USYD. Click here to RSVP.

Agenda:

8:30 – Muffins, coffee and networking

9:00 – Introduction to ATP Innovations

9:15 – An introduction to Intellectual Property from Gavin Recchia, patent attorney at Davies Collison Cave

10:30 – How to talk about your IP
