Agricultural Tech Program

Australia is uniquely positioned to contribute to the global, growing agricultural technology (Agtech) sector. The groundwork already exists with plenty of land, and already sophisticated farming practices and a world-class education and research system. Cicada, in partnership with MLA Donor Company, is launching an Agtech commercialisation program. This program is provided for free to participants.

This twelve-week program will take a concept or technology through extensive customer validation, developing both a business model and pitch for investors. Participation is open to those who work in the agricultural sector, researchers, graduates or those who have a concept or technology from another industry.

If this sounds like something you are interested in please submit an EOI below and one of our team will be in touch to discuss the program in more detail.

1 June – Formal applications open

27 July – Innovation Challenge event, hosted by Cicada Innovations

28th July – Applications close

15 August – Announcement of accepted applicants

30 November – Program concludes

What is ‘Agtech’?
For the purposes of our program Agtech is broader than technologies that support ‘pre-farmgate’ agricultural production. We are seeking to work with pre-farmgate and post-farmgate technologies, as well as food technologies, food packaging and food innovations.
