CBA,Cook Medical, Startmate and Optus sponsor Accelerator HUB for refurbishment

ATP Innovations is thrilled to announce that Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), Cook Medical, and Startmate join telco Optus in sponsoring the ATP Innovations’ Accelerator HUB space.

The Accelerator Hub at ATP Innovations is home to accelerator programs Startmate (IT focus) and Ignition Labs (focus on various industry verticals including medtech and clean tech). The space also houses and supports a number of student accelerators.

Every year over 100 new technology entrepreneurs spend time in the Accelerator Hub. As a result, the space has been heavily used over the past 3 years with entrepreneurs spending every waking hour working on their innovative ideas.

The space is now in desperate need of a revamp and a redesign to accommodate the growing number of programs being supported here as well as providing a better work environment.

Through our sponsors we also look to create a closer connection between innovation and the corporate sector.

The four corporate sponsors, each representing their industry vertical – financial services, health, technology and telecommunications, will assist funding the further transformation of Accelerator HUB. A competition open to University design students, to develop a concept for the space, has resulted in many exciting and knock out design entries.

We are in the process of selecting a winner and the implementation of the winning design will take place during the month of November and are excited about rolling out the new environment to our accelerator entrepreneurs.

Accelerator HUB is a co-working space for technology entrepreneurs and the host of four accelerator programs at ATP Innovations, winner of the prestigious 2014 NBIA Incubator of the Year Award.
